Make your New Year's resolutions on the sugary white beaches of Destin, Florida. Everyone can have a private bedroom and bathroom. On New Year's Day create brunch without worrying about going out. The rental manager will cater to your every whim by bringing more fluffy towels, or whatever you want. Get a home with a pool and sleep under the stars!
GOING OUT
Destin is an inexpensive date! It's not as expensive as other areas of Florida so you can go out on New Year's Eve and not have to take out a bank loan to do it. Every restaurant experience can be had in Destin from upscale to downright cheap. Gourmet restaurants abound, as well as inexpensive seafood places to restaurants that cater to families. And many of these great restaurants are located right on or near the sandy white beaches.
Clubs are plentiful at Destin with more upscale establishments to hopping bar clubs to neighborhood hangouts. You name it, it's here! Make your reservations now though, so you can get in and ring in the New Year in style .To make the night even better, many clubs located on the beaches have their own fireworks displays. Listening to live music while enjoying libations, friends, fun and fireworks all while it is about fifty to sixty degrees on the beach is a dream come true.
BEACHES
The beaches of Fort Walton in Destin have been voted the second best in the world by a major travel magazine once again. Hang out at the beach all night or at your rental home and watch the fireworks go off while digging your toes in the sand. Hang out at Destin Harbor and see all the firework action because that's the main stage for fireworks displays. Wander out of your vacation home and take a stroll along the beach to watch the sunset, and enjoy the evening. Join in the boat parade on New Year's Eve where people decorate their boats with lights and lit up palm trees and with all kinds of great decorations.
STILL MORE TO DO
New Year's Eve weather in Destin at this time of year is absolutely perfect. The temperature is in the mid sixties, and so is the water. Take your boat out and watch all the fireworks from the water. Go golfing New Year's Eve Day on a championship golf course. A great shopping experience can be had in Destin where you can grab up all the after Christmas goodies at Destin Commons. Catch a movie at Rave Theater which always has about 20 movies showing.
For the truly brave, take a polar bear dip on New Year's Day and not get hypothermia. Try scuba diving, shell collecting, wave running, fishing at the harbor, or take a charter cruise. Or you can just relax on the beach and soak up the sun, while and making your New Year's resolutions, on Destin's beaches.
