Club 21 is one of the most popular nightclubs in the area, and for good reason too: The club has great music, and even better drinks. Club 21 has a laid back feel, but is a little more upscale than the nightclubs you might be used to frequenting. Still looking for a place to let loose? Try Groove where you'll be side by side with some of the hottest twenty and thirty somethings in the city, all eager to try out the city's newest club.
Lounge is a great place for people who are longing for a Vegas experience. This club is as upscale as they come, with leather couches and a private VIP area, plus outstanding drinks. Listen to some of the great DJ music, or people watch from your own personal couch. Cafe Madrid is the place to go if you're looking for some hot Latin dancing, or maybe just that hot Latin guy or gal! This bar has some great authentic tapas, and the best jazz you can find in Texas.
Do you hear the karaoke machine calling you? Then head on over to Cocktails Karaoke Club & Piano Bar where you can shake it to your heart's content, and maybe even have enough drinks to brave singing in front of the crowd. If you're looking for something a little more low key and laidback, try Java's 213. This coffee bar has a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Sip a cup of joe while listening to the live bands on stage. You may even want to grab a bottle of icy cold beer while you're here on the weekends, and yes this coffee bar does serve beer.
No trip to Galveston is complete without swinging by the Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe. This Cafe is famous in the area, and known all throughout Texas. Yes they have great drinks, but the real reason to visit is for the unbelievable, out of this world music. There's jazz and blues, but also local bands hitting the stage as often as possible. If you're looking for a real taste of Galveston, this is the place to be.
The absolute best place to go at night is Yaga's Cafe and Bar. You can visit during the day for one of their awesome lunch specials, or grab a pizza there for dinner, but you have to come back after dark. That's when the real fun starts happening. When the sun sets, the music starts, and everyone comes out to play.
