You're Never too Old to Enjoy Orlando & Kissimmee

So, you are a member of an elite group of citizens known as the Baby Boomer generation, and you are planning a trip to Kissimmee. Well, it probably is not your first visit. After all, central Florida is known for two things: oranges, and Walt Disney World. Odds are, at your age of experience, you have been to the florida theme parks before.

But now you are the parent (or, more likely, grandparent), and now Space Mountain and the Mad Hatter's Tea Cup Ride have lost their luster in your eyes. While sending the kids off to play on the rides may be fine, what about you? Well, Kissimmee has plenty of attractions for more mature visitors, or to bring out the kid in you.

You want fine dining, yet also some fun and excitement? You can try and of several great dinner shows: Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, Capone's Dinner and Show, and Wild Bill's Wild West Dinner Extravaganza. Each of them naturally in this day and age, has their own web site. Check out a couple at: www.medievaltimes.com, and call at 1-888-WE-JOUST, www.alcapones.com and www.arabian-nights.com.

On the other hand, if you are an active senior and enjoy outdoor activities, there are plenty of attractions in Kissimmee for you to explore. Take a hot air balloon ride over the area at Orange Blossom Balloons.

Feeling a bit more daring, ,or perhaps, nostalgic? Go to Warbird Adventures and climb aboard a two-seater plane that once served as a fighter-trainer during World War II, and then soar across the clear blue skies of Orange County. It will be a flight to remember. You can get full information on the planes and what kind of a ride you'll get at their web site: www.warbirdadventures.com. Reservations are not required, but they do recommend them, call Kissimmee's Warbirds at: 1-800-386-1593 to learn more.

If getting close to nature is more to your liking, something as simple as the Green Meadows Petting Farm is a great place to pass the time with the grandchildren. After that, hop onboard an airboat over at one of the three Boggy Creek Airboat Rides; they will race along through one of the most pristine and untouched wetlands of Central Florida. No matter what your age, seeing some of the natural wonders of Florida is not something you should miss on your next trip to Kissimmee.

If you're worried about that retirement fund, get more bang for your buck by renting a large condo or Kissimmee vacation home to for you and the entire family. You can get reprieve from the grandkids, and retreat to a master suite.
