Irrespective of your tastes, Myrtle Beach accommodates every aspect
of entertainment you could ever wish for. The Alabama Theater is an
excellent place to start, voted as the number one family attraction in
Myrtle Beach. This will certainly be one of the highlights of your
vacation, particularly with the live entertainment on offer. (It's on
the Grand Stand.)
For a more feudal family festival, visit
Medieval Times, an authentic medieval dinner and show. This is actually
within a wonderful castle on Myrtle Beach View the Hall Of Arms, or the
Dungeon Museum of Torture. (I somehow think the kids will be on their
best behavior don't you?) Watch the two hour tournament spectacular.
Vegetarian platters are available, although not very authentic.
The
House of Blues provides fun, excitement, and excellent talent indeed.
Sit back and listen to the local band or the live concerts, which often
features well known celebrity blues singers. Listen to old time
favorites such as "Double Crossing Woman" originally sung by Josh White
or an Ella Fitzgerald song. Get your boogie down! It's next to the
Barefoot Landing.
In Celebrity Square you can experience Myrtle
Beach's unique entertainment areas, such as The Hard Rock Cafe or
Planet Hollywood. You will also find an assortment of excellent dance
venues, which will certainly pump you up and have you ready to boogie
all night long.
I visited the Blarney-stone Pub on my last
visit, and could barely drag my Scottish husband out of there. (Talk
about a traitor!) But the fun we had mixing with the locals was
excellent, as too was the awesome party atmosphere we found in there.
With
one area of Celebrity Square incorporating four separate clubs, and
only needing the one admission fee, you will certainly have a rage, and
isn't that what you are there for? Take note that the age limit for
drinking is 21, but 18 year olds can still dance and have a ball.
Dolly
Parton's Dixie Stampede and Show, is another exciting venue, the
audience participation is hilarious, and the fun just doesn't stop:
Think about live buffalo, well trained horses, pig racing, ostrich
racing...
Now for the all time wonderful highlight of your
night-time enjoyment, visit Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, all through
the evening you will hear an alarm which triggers the roof to shift,
and bring down a bottle to fill a humongous Margarita glass! When I
first witnessed this my jaw dropped. Literally! (And then I placed
some delicious beverages in my dropped jaw.)
Myrtle Beach has all the nightlife and entertainment you could ever wish for, and a whole lot more. See you there!
This guide to getting down in the MB was brought to you by Shenni Bubb
After a long day on the beach, the only thing that sounds better
than relaxing in a giant Margarita glass is heading home afterwards to
your private Myrtle Beach vacation villa where you can rest up in order to do it all again the next day!
