Orlando Vacations: Money Saving Tips Mean More Mouse Ears and Turkey Legs

In order to stay on a modest budget in Orlando you must first make a plan. Decide what attractions you're most interested in and then search for discounts online
for those attractions. Beware of the "cheap ticket" booths in Orlando, often times you get exactly what you pay for (or don't pay for). These are often "timeshare opportunity" presentations, often lasting for several hours of your valuable time. Booking your visit during off season is also a good idea for cheaper rates and you get less crowds, which means more value for your money.

Another way to keep a modest budget while traveling to Orlando is to book your hotel, airfare (unless you're driving), and rental car as far ahead of time as possible. Many companies offer discounts for booking well in advance, and you may be able to get in on a great deal that way. Also if you're trying to stay on a
modest budget try staying a little further out from the theme park areas, as locations tend to be a bit more inexpensive the further out you go. You can also pick up local coupon books at some of the local restaurants, gas stations, and souvenir shops along the way.

You can also save a lot of money while traveling in Orlando by bringing snacks such as peanut butter crackers, trail mix, granola bars, popcorn, fruit,
chips, or whatever your family prefers, as well as sandwiches for meals. If you are traveling with small children these items can most likely be packed into your stroller or stashed in a diaper bag or backpack. Also purchasing a case of bottled water or other drinks from the grocery store will save you money as well, just pop a few in your bag and you're ready to go! I've found that bringing your own snacks and drinks makes it more fun for kids; what kid doesn't like a picnic lunch away from home?

Last but not least remember the big theme parks aren't the only attractions in the Orlando area. Orlando is brimming with activities for adults and children alike and there are many parks and recreational activities as well. Some of the other attractions in Orlando are fun and inexpensive. All in all, a well planned visit doesn't have to break the budget in order to be a trip to remember, so enjoy your stay in Orlando!
