Why visit Kauai Hawaii? Why not? Why not experience an adventure far beyond your dreams? The amazing "Garden Isle" is a photographer's dream, with pristine sandy beaches with a pink hue, picture perfect landscape, as well as amazing experiences waiting for you. A vacation on Kaua'i is what I personally deem "postcard perfect" and Kauai certainly is "big" in features, despite being notably smaller than many other islands of Hawaii. 

Kauai is certainly the garden isle, rich in tropical plants and fertile rain forests.Yes, it surely beckons the appreciative traveler. How could you resist a land of diversity, as well as glorious backdrops to the golden sunlight which filters through the tropical paradise of palms and foliage? Put that fragrant Hawaiian flower in your hair, and set off on the experience of a lifetime.

Setting the Scenery

The island of Kauai is the famous setting for numerous Hollywood films, most famously - Jurassic Park, the TV series Fantasy Island ("de plane boss, de plane") and the highly acclaimed movie musical, South Pacific. When is the best time of year to visit Kauai? 

Although year round temperatures are comfortable, winter is definitely the busiest time for tourist invasion, yet I personally found summer in Kauai to be just as delightful, and much less crowded. Winter season in Kauai is from December to February. June to October sees the hottest temperatures so surfers will indeed find this the best time to catch those great waves.

Heaviest rainfall occurs from December right through to March. Spring brings with it not only glorious days, but also the best lodging prices. Visit between April and mid November, and you will be sure to score bargain accommodations.

Kauai is a wonderful place to be on special holidays like New Years Eve. The special events take place at the "Coconut Grove" and may I say, it's a blast indeed, reveling like never before! Hiccup, burp, excuse me! Can one get arrested for hula-dancing while slightly intoxicated? The drinks are refreshing and wow, powerful! Four Pina Coladas, and I'm in seventh heaven. (Pineapple juice, coconut cream and strong rum makes for a good time)

Things to do in Kauai

There are many activities and sites to see, depending on the activities you want to indulge in. There's wonderful whale watching cruises, and you may be fortunate enough to spy a new born calf. There are numerous whale watching tours and locations available, so just ask one of the friendly, smiling locals. 

In Kauai, there are many operations which can bring you on the best Hawaii tours, some including exhilarating helicopter tours, snorkeling, hiking, dancing, Hawaiian luaus, sailing and a host of so much more.

A vacation in Kauai will provide you with the most wonderful and memorable experiences. Your camera will certainly be working overtime, as you capture each and every exhilarating moment. Honeymoon on Kauai and you will certainly never regret it. You will surely be an avid traveler once you have been here, for without a doubt, that you will eagerly return very soon.
